i liked the location, the cleanlines and the breakfast was pretty good and included in the price..

i did not like the general attitude of the staff, the fact we couldnt have any guests in the bedrooms day or night or any friends to join us in the bar.... very disapointed for a stagg and hen doo venue

  • Family with children

The fact that it is walking distance to a cheap car park, the town and the BIC

The room in which we stayed in, the bathroom had a terrible musty/damp smell and to keep this spreading into the room, the bathroom door had to be shut at all times, each time the door was opened, the smell seeped into the room

Was exactly what I needed. No nonsense, excellent value and very friendly staff. Lovely breakfast and flexible bar hours (open very late if required). Great location. Walking distance to town and beach. We will definately stay again if returning to Bournemouth.

The location was good not far from the town, the staff was friendly and very helpful. The food was very good and you could help yourself.

Some of the other guests was rude and not very polite, but the staff handled it very well and soon sorted them out.

Staff was very friendly & helpfull. We asked for a taxi at 2am, and there was no problem with manager to wait for us, and help with language.

Lobby area etc was lovely and staff were friendly when they were around. Bathroom and Shower were lovely.

Beds were very uncomfortable and old. Very old fashioned bedding and decor - carpets were dusty looking.

only the breakfast, it was cold but definitely the best thing out of the stay. Not the best breakfast, I've certainly had much better, however as I say, it was the best feature of the hotel which is something to be proud of.

The room wasn't clean, we found hairs in the bed, they we're definitely pubes! The shower was either kettle hot or ice cube cold, there was no temperature in between. I actually burnt my hands to the point I actually yelled and my boyfriend ran in. We ordered a double and received 2 beds pushed together, 1 bed was soft, the other was solid. The light bulb above the bed only worked on 1 side. We had no towels in the room and had to request them, we only received them after asking twice. We had no bath tub, when other rooms our friends stayed in at the same price did. During my boyfriends shower, the power tripped out and we we're in darkness for 15 mins. My boyfriend had to stay in a towel until it was switched back on. The room didnt have a phone so I had to run down to reception to report the fault, after i reported it we sat in the room waiting but nothing happened, it wasn't until i went down a second time that it was resolved.

There was staff there 24 hours, but I had to ring them from my mobile to get their attention, it was 6am though

Clearly a stag hotspot, not relaxing. Overpriced for the room size. Breakfast was ok but basic. Staff barely spoke to me at all, and just seemed to want us gone. No wifi as advertised.

we requested a double bed and were given two singles, when we complained they said they would make the beds up together whilst we were out which they didnt do. Breakfast was sparse and i found a hair in my meal

easy to come back to room late at night

breakfast period limited to 1 hour, hard to find staff, lack of english speaking staff

Very tolerant towards guests.Rather laisez faire.Brillient place for young people as nightclub just down road.I liked the fact I was refunded money as my friend found it too noisy to stay.Ideal place for fun lovers.

The hotel was fair for the money.I would have stayed as it was fine but there was a party of young men on a stag night which made it very noisy. Also the nightclub at the church down the road was awful.Normally noise doesnt bother me but I was playing chess and needed to sleep better.Walls seem very thin and this could cause embarassment

I stayed in this hotel on a single room, for 4 nights on business trip. I paid for Room+Breakfast, but never had a single breakfast from the hotel throughout my stay because this hotel refused to serve breakfast earlier than 8am; while I had to leave for work half an hour before then. I asked for refund on breakfast, but was never given any. The room and toilet/bathroom are dirty, very outdated, and very small, one can hardly move in it. From my horrible experience in this hotel I definitely will not recommend it to anyone.

Friendly and attentive staff. Clean comfortable room. Good value

Wifi didnt reach back of 3rd floor rooms.Radio to loud at breakfast...but my fault I didnt bother to say anything, if I had they would have rectified at once. Bedroom TV reception not great, but they promtly tried to rectify. Parking difficult

Not a lot, near to the town centre

Very dated, in a dodgy area and you couldnt have breakfast until 9am, as we were up early a pain. Lots of students staying, expensive for what it is.

  • Family with children
    4.2

Nothing at all. When we (1 adult 2 children) arrived, the reception was manned by the manager. But around us was a lot of foreign students. It wouldn't have been too bad if we knew prior to booking, however, if we did know then we would've stayed elsewhere. We had an issue with the room, but when I approached the reception it was manned by a young person associated with the students. I am glad we only stayed there for one night as it wasn't a very enjoyable experience. I will be contacting the manager today for some refund.

The room had an odour of cigarette smoke coming through the bathroom vent. The light in the bathroom went off and back on, on it's own, so when in the shower I ended up in darkness until it came back on again. The manager wasn't able to put us into another room as foreign students were also staying there - unknown to me at time of booking! We had to leave early to catch a ferry to isle of Wight the next day so when I told the manager we would be having a full English breakfast early (which was in the price) he told me that the students would be having their continental breakfast first - from 7 till 8.30 then rest of guests will be served their full English from 8.30, which was not any good to us. I wasn't happy with this, therefore we had to have a continental with the students - again, a very unpleasant experience!
